Maggio 2006 Cucciolata con Ruby a destra nella foto (Highland Ambassador Bondhu X Daisydeacon del Pianone). Nonno materno di Ruby è Grande Deacon. Per avere ulteriori notizie di Grande Deacon ho lanciato una richiesta nella comunità virtuale degli appassionati americani di setter e ho avuto questa risposta da Herbert Andersson dell'Oregon: Emanuele, ho conosciuto bene Deacon e ho cacciato con lui numerose volte. Tu devi avere un cucciolo dalla cagna che Marzio inviò oltreoceano per essere accoppiata con Deacon. Deacon è stato uno dei migliori Llewellin che io abbia mai visto e sarebbe potuto diventare un grande vincitore di gare, sicuramente di prove di caccia pratica, probabilmente anche di Grande Cerca. Ma Deacon non partecipò mai alle prove e passò la sua lunga vita come un superbo cane da coturnici. Io scrissi un articolo sul Llewellin Journal segnalandolo come riproduttore, ma Marzio fu il solo a utilizzarlo. Un gran peccato che altri non lo fecero. Deacon fu l'ultimo Llewellin che risaliva ai grandi Llewellin quali Hightone Tony. Just to know who was Grande Deacon I sent a message to the virtual community of the Llewellin Setters in USa and I received this answer from Herbert Andersson from Oregon: Emanuele, I knew Deacon well and hunted over him many times. You
must have a pup from the bitch that Marzio sent over to be bred to
Deacon. Deacon was one of the best Llewellins I have ever seen and
could have been a great field trial winner, Shooting Dog winner for
sure and possibly an all-age winner. But he was never entered in a
field trial and spent a long life as a superb chukar dog. I wrote an
article in the Llewellin Journal recommending that he be bred to but
Marzio was the only one who did so. A great shame
that others did
not breed to him. He was the last of the Llewellins which was close
